Computer Literacy
Computer literacy can be defined as the knowledge and ability a person has to use computers and technology efficiently. Technology Alliance Group (TAG) helps people achieve computer literacy by providing free access to computers and the Internet. We have qualified staff available to aid with computer and technology related questions as well as provide computer training. TAG services the technology needs of youth at risk, seniors, low-income families, and other individuals facing barriers. The issue is no longer simply getting people online--it is meeting the needs of those Canadians who are already marginalized and for whom the barriers to technology become increasingly difficult. Technology literacy represents to our consumers the basic cost of entry for an education, employment and access to government. |
